Samsung to Add New Semiconductor Assembly Line in Suzhou, China

Samsung recently announced that it has planned to construct a new chip assembly line at its semiconductor complex in Suzhou, China, attempting to boost its production capacity in China. The company stated it will invest up to US$120 million in the new assembly line, which is slated to kick off operations in the first quarter of 2007. Currently, the company operates three production lines in its Suzhou complex, which produce non-memory semiconductors, NAND flash memory products, and DRAM semiconductors.
